Assam B.Sc Nursing 2024: The Directorate of Medical Education, Government of Assam is in charge of commencing Assam B.Sc Nursing examination at state level. Srimanta Sankerdeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS) Assam will shortly issue the admission notification for academic session 2024- 24. Eligibility Criteria

• Only female category aspirants can participate in the examination.
• Candidates all over India can apply for it.
• Academic qualification is a candidate should complete 10+2 with an aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as the main subject from a recognized board.
• SC/ ST category candidates should clear 10+2 with an aggregate of 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as main subjects from the recognized Board.
• The age of General category candidates should lie between 17 to 24 years and OBC/ SC/ ST will get an exemption of 3 years.

Exam Pattern

The complete examination will be held via offline mode. In total, it comprises of three papers in which paper 1 & 2 is mandatory to attempt for the B.Sc course and paper 3 is only for D. Pharma candidates. Questions will be Multiple Choice only. The total duration of the examination is 2 hours. The candidates need to study class 12th syllabus as it will be covered in the examination. If candidates provide correct answer, then they will get 1 mark each and there won’t be any negative marking for incorrect answers and questions not attempted. The distribution of questions is as follows:

• Physics and Chemistry: 100 questions
• Biology: 50 questions
• Mathematics: 50 questions

Result

The result of the entrance examination is going to be disclosed only after the examination has been done successfully. The authorities of the examination will prepare a merit list based on the qualifying marks candidates have achieved. They can collect the outcome with the help of online mode by entering their roll number and password. University will announce the outcome on the website, after which the result merit list will also be published on the website as well.

Selection and Counseling Process

Once the result is announced, the process of selection will begin. It will be based on the qualifying marks applicants obtained in the examination, after that, they will be called for counseling. Based on the merit list selected candidates to call for the counseling process. It will be conducted in two or three rounds.
