For B.Sc. Nursing:

• Qualification: The minimum educational qualification required for B.Sc. Nursing is 12th i.e. an applicant must be intermediate passed from any recognized board of education.
• Subject: He/ she also has studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as compulsory subjects in the qualifying exam.
• Gender: Only female candidates will be eligible to apply for B.Sc. Nursing.
• Marks: Those applicants who have attained more than the minimum 50% marks in aggregate will be considered eligible for admission.
• Age Limit: Candidate’s age should not exceed the age of 35 years and not less than 17 years on 31st December 2024 in order to be eligible.

For B.Sc Post-Basic Nursing:

• Qualification: Those candidates who have qualified 12th class or any other equivalent examination will be eligible for this entrance examination.
• Marks: One should have passed the General Nursing and Midwifery course with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
• Registration: Appliers should have registered as nurses and registered midwifery.
• Age Limit: The candidate’s age should not be over than 45 years as on 1st September 2024. Candidates belonging to the categories such as SC/ ST/ OBC and other reserved categories will be eligible for the age relaxations as per the rules of the government.

For M.Sc. Nursing:

• Qualification: Aspirants should have pursued a degree in B.Sc. Nursing or B.Sc. Post-Basic Nursing course from any recognized educational board.
• Marks: It is necessary for the candidates to acquire at least 55% minimum marks in their qualifying examination to be eligible for admission.
• Work Experience: It is also mandatory for the aspirants to have a minimum of 1-year of experience and be registered as midwifery and general nurse.

PGIMER Nursing Admission 2024 Application Form

The candidate who wishes to appear in the Nursing Entrance Exam in the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research should first fill up the application form. Follow the important guidelines as under:

• PGIMER will issue the application forms for the entrance exam at the official portal i.e. www.pgimer.edu.in.
• Fill out and submit the online application form before the last date mentioned in the official notification.
• To apply for it, candidates have to do the registration, then input details in it and upload the scanned copies of the documents required, and pay the mandatory application fee.

Application Fee

• Once submitted application fee will not be returned in online mode.
• Payment facilities such as Credit Card, Debit Card, and Internet Banking will be available for the transaction of application fees.
• PWD candidates will be exempted from the payment of the application fee.

Exam Pattern

• Mode of Exam: Computer-Based Test (CBT).
• Type of Questions: Multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
• Number of Questions: Total 100 questions.
• Medium: English medium only.
• Number of Shifts: 1 shift.
• Duration: 1 & ½ hours or 90 minutes.
• Marking Scheme: 1 mark will be granted for each correct response.
• Negative Marking: A deduction of –0.25 marks will be there for answering the wrong response.
