Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility is a basic and mandatory criteria that each and every admission participant has to satisfy. Therefore, students should satisfy the requirements before the starting of application process. Eligibility criteria is as under:

• Students who are a permanent resident of the country of India are eligible.
• Only a permanent resident of Assam state who furnish a certificate to this effect is able to participate in the admission process.
• Permanent Resident Certificate is not required by the Sons/ Daughters of the employees of the Govt. of Assam.
• An aspiring student of general category should have obtained 45% minimum marks in H.S.S.L.C. (Sc.) (10+2) or equivalent in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology 40% is required for the OBC/ MOBC, SC, ST(P) and ST(H) aspirants.
• The age of the aspiring candidates must be within the age limit of 17- 24 years on December 31, 2024. 3 years of relaxation in upper age limit will be there for the students of OBC/ MOBC, SC, ST(P), and ST(H) category.

Directorate of Medical Education, Assam will carry out the last round of the admission process which is counseling. In this round, officials will ask the candidates to submit a set of documents in authentic form. The documents will be needed for the verification purpose.
