Karnataka GNM 2024: GNM stands for General Nursing and Midwifery. It is basically a three-year diploma programme in the field of nursing. Candidates who are interested in clinical nursing, for them a diploma programme is a great option. The Karnataka State Nursing Diploma Education Board (KSDNEB), is accountable for managing admission to the GNM programme.

Eligibility Criteria

Those candidates who are successful in fulfilling below-mentioned eligibility criteria can seek admission to the Karnataka GNM Nursing programme 2024:

• Those who qualify for the class 12 examination with Science stream scoring not less than 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry, English, and Biology are eligible for admission.
• Candidates of SC/ ST category will be offered a relaxation of 5% marks.
• Candidates must produce the domicile of the state of Karnataka.
• The age of candidates should be at least 17 years or more at the time of admission.
• Those aspirants who have completed their class 12th examination from the NIOS board are also eligible to apply for the program.

Furthermore, candidates can fill out their application form once they have properly go through the instructions in the brochure.

Eligible candidates should fill out their application form with relevant details about themselves, such as personal info, educational information, course- regarding details, communicational, parents/ guardian information, and other required information. Candidates need to also provide scanned images of their signature and portrait in the specified size and format as requested on the official website.

Application fee

The Karnataka GNM application price should be paid through online methods using internet banking, a debit card, or a credit card.

• The cost of application form for general category candidates is Rs 400/-.
• For candidates belonging to the SC/ ST category (Paja/ Pappam Category-1), the cost of application form is Rs. 250/-.

Merit List

The applicants who scored higher than the minimum cutoff marks will be able to see their names appear on the merit list. The Staff Nurse Merit List will be set up by considering a number of elements for instance candidate’s achievement in the written exam, caste, age, category and more. Applicants who get their names in the merit list will be invited to take part in the next stage of selection.

Counselling

Reservation Criteria

In Karnataka GNM Admission, 8% of the total seats are reserved for the candidates of the Hyderabad-Karnataka under the Karnataka State Welfare. 70% of the total seats are reserved for the candidates belonging to the areas of Yadagiri, Bidar, Koppal, Raichur, Kalaburagi and Bellary. 8 % of the seats offered are reserved for the nursing Educational Institutes spread state- wise. Candidates are required to submit a confirmation letter to get assistance in reservation under the Hyderabad- Karnataka Division.
