Eligibility Criteria

Those who are seeking admission to the GNM course should know that they will have to confirm all the eligibility criteria declared by the conducting body. If the aspirants do not satisfy the eligibility criteria, then they are barred from appearing in the entrance examination. The eligibility requirements for the same are as under:

• Intermediate with English as the main subject and must have acquired at least 40% in other subjects and English individually from any recognized board.
• Candidates will become eligible from the National Institute of Open Schools (NIOS) recognized by the central government and State Open Schools recognized by the State Government.
• Intermediate with English as the main subject having a minimum of 40% in Vocational Stream-Health care Science from a recognized State Board/ Centre board/ CBSE board.
• He/ she must be registered ANM with passing marks.

Bihar GNM 2024 Application Form

Candidates registering for a 3-year diploma in general nursing and midwifery will be able to do the same by filling out an application form in an online/ offline manner whichever is suitable for them. The application forms will be available shortly. Additionally, appliers will also get an offline option for the same. You can collect the application form for offline submission from the official website of the admission regulating body. Result

The Bihar Nurse Registration Council will deliver the result for the applicants after the successful conclusion of the qualifying/ entrance exam. The result mentions the scores gained by the aspirants in the test. Along with the result, the officials will also publish the merit list on the authorized web portal. It will include the name of candidates who are chosen and invited for the counselling session.

Selection Process

The selection process will happen based on the qualifying exam merit. The admission body will not conduct any entrance exam to shortlist the candidates. Candidates who find their names in the merit list will be considered successful. They will have to appear for the counselling process.

Counselling Process

Only those successful candidates who will get their names on the merit list will be called to take up the counselling. If you wish to appear for the counselling process, then you need to register yourself separately. Both opening and closing dates of the counselling registration will be decided by the official admission authorities later on. During the registration of counselling, candidates will be asked to give their preference of colleges in which they wish to pursue the course.

The seat allotment will be held on the basis of merit and choice locked by candidates during counselling. Usually, the counselling process is held in an online manner. However, authorities may organize offline counselling based on the requirements. Candidates’ seats will be locked only after the verification of documents and the fee payment is done. If the aspirants are unsatisfied with the seats allotted to them, then they will be eligible to participate in the second round of counselling.
